About Margo L. Johnson, RN, PhDInitially my career goal was engineering, but after reading an introduction to biofeedback published in the 70’s called New Mind, New Body written by Barbara Brown, I changed direction to healthcare. I am continually impressed by biofeedback’s and neurofeedback’s elegant utility in response to many health problems and its ability to access the mind/body connection to enhance the quality of our lives. I opened Biofeedback and Neurofeedback Services in the spring of 2003. EducationIn the beginning my first opportunity to explore biofeedback was working with one of the early researchers in the field of biofeedback at the University of Washington . Later while providing nursing services for the Pain Management Program at Swedish Hospital I graduated from an RNB program through Seattle Pacific University. |

Professional BackgroundFor nearly 30 years I have been providing biofeedback training and nursing services. I have enjoyed working with injured workers as part of interdisciplinary treatment in both outpatient and inpatient settings. I have also provided biofeedback training for stress management clinics and an addiction treatment center. I have taught stress management for an eating disorders program. As the field of neurofeedback became more accessible to the clinician I added to my experience learning about and working with individuals experiencing ADHD, PTSD and peak performance in sports, the arts and business. |
