Biofeedback and Neurofeedback Services is relocated to Tacoma

Exciting news the south sound office of Biofeedback and Neurofeedback Services is relocated to Tacoma at 201 North “I” Street, Tacoma, WA  98403.  This new location is within the Alliant Physical Therapy and Integral Medicine office owned by Tim Sobie PT a long time provider of physical therapy and integral medicine in the south sound area.   Tim is very supportive of biofeedback and neurofeedback.  He recently presented at an annual meeting of the Association of Psychophysiology and Biofeedback.  In addition to his background in physical therapy he is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner.  Over the years his practice has expanded to additional offices in Olympia, Gig Harbor and he is a post D/C affiliation partner at the Exercise Science Center in Fircrest.  Tim a man of boundless energy is also working on his doctorate.  He plans to study the unique and potentially ground breaking benefits using aspects of Feldenkrais therapy for individuals experiencing chronic low back pain.

Here is a wonderful statement from Alliant Physical Therapy and Integral Medicine’s website:

“At the heart of it, integral medicine pertains to meaningful changes occurring within the individual in a manner that matters most and makes a difference to them – – and in such manner that the individual is intricately involved in their own process of action and perception.”

This is a strong match to the philosophical definitions of health that guide Biofeedback and Neurofeedback Services one that expands beyond clinical, role function and adaptation to stress models of health and adds what in nursing literature is called the eudaemonistic model of health.  Where the individual develops their own goals for health based on the best activities a person is capable of.  It could said another way, a trifecta  a self-motivated experience of happiness as in a fulfilling and satisfying life, striving towards ones unique best self and moving towards one’s ideal of integrity.

In addition the office includes the following practitioners:

Rhonda Sobie, MA, GCFP, PT AideGuild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner(CM)
Biofeedback Technician

Roxanne Peterson, Ph.D., RN, LMHC Somatic Hakomi Practitioner

Jennifer Yagos, PTA, GCFPPhysical Therapy Assistant
Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner(CM)

Deborah Lee, PTAPhysical Therapy Assistant
Feldenkrais Trainee

I am looking forward to meeting all my new office mates.
